(27Oct23)Had a really good chai latte and breakfast there. The chai by Rob was so good that I got a packet of chai to take home. Enjoyed my scrambled eggs, the pancakes were great too. Food took super long but they were really apologetic. Great team!

(29th Oct 23) I had been recommended this place but sadly don’t think it was worth the long wait and highly priced food. Had the Chicken Benedict, the sauce was very rich, and the chicken rillett had a few pieces of unexpected cartilage that was quite tough on the teeth.. I guess the chicken wasn’t deboned well. Location is a little out of the way compared to other places in the city.

(29 Oct 23) Took a stroll around the city on a hunt for some good coffee and stumbled upon this by accident. We ordered the long black and an oatmilk latte. Loved loved loved it! We know that coffee culture is big here but certainly, this is one of the best we have had in the CBD. While sipping away, saw a cute little frog 馃惛 walked by! Interesting place for people watching on a lazy sunny Sunday afternoon. It is tucked away on a side street, away from the busy shopping crowd. Small and cozy and a lovely spot to meet up with friends.

(26 oct 23) I loved the Salmon Aburi and the white chocolate matcha latte, but small suggestion for the Salmon Aburi鈥攖he soy egg on top is super salty and the rest of the bowl is a little bland , would be nice to have some sauce on the side. Otherwise the meal was lovely !

(29 Oct 23) Place was overcrowded (tables too close together) They made our first to arrive wait outside until 2 others arrived, even though there were tables . That鈥檚 inconsiderate. Service reasonable attentive once seated. The food was on the side of trying to be different but a lot of the flavours did not jell together. While the Parmesan French toast was good, with raspberry chutney and mushrooms a good compliment. Their addition of toffee custard didn鈥檛 work , nor any need for stracciatella cheese. It was an overload of uncomplimentary flavours . The egg and bacon brioche was served with cold hash browns. The coffee was terrible for melbourne quality. Cold and very weak. It was listed as in the top 10 in urban list . This is inaccurate. There are many other places to go to before I would choose here again.

(Oct 23) Another gem in Melbourne – it’s easy to see why this place is highly rated. The building has its own history. The latte was my initial choice, however was suggested a blend (I believe from Bolivia) which tasted great as an espresso. The waiter knows his stuff – and an excellent recommendation. Enjoyed the smell / aroma and the taste (quite rare for me to just have an espresso). Whilst in Melbourne I’ve had the espresso just twice and this was my second palace (in that weekend I managed to fit in 10 cafes). A place I’d easily visit again.

( Oct 23) It was a bit tricky to find, but I have to say, what an amazing find. Beautiful atmosphere inside, lofi music made everything very chill and relaxing. The BEST coffee I鈥檝e ever had in my life, however the food was rather average. The price for the quantity of food was great, just the actual food itself.

(Jun 23) A really nice cozy place! Service is good! I had the Benedict eggs with bagel and salmon! They were really good!! Had a green juice and it was not good! They told me it was already made and yes, you can notice it, so maybe I wouldn鈥檛 order juice again there. Coffe was good too! Went to work for couple of hours and the internet and space was good for it! I would recommend it!

(30 oct 23) Down from Sydney and joined the queue for a Melbourne laneway brunch experience at Brick Lane. We had the big breakfast and the avo smash and it was definitely one of the tastiest breakfasts we鈥檝e ever had. All the ingredients full of flavour and cooked exactly how we like – ie, pretty rustic – super crispy bacon, crunchy toast, runny poached eggs, pickled beetroot, and so on. Probably not to everyone鈥檚 taste, hence some of the befuddled reviews from tourists who should have stuck to the buffet at the hotel. But if your tastes are towards rustic and not delicate you鈥檒l love it. Fresh orange juice, and the coffee was good. (By the way, Melbourne doesn鈥檛 do great coffee – oddly, the coffee in Sydney is much better). The place was packed and chaotic, but in the circumstances we had good and considerate service throughout – due to a mobility issue we requested a table with chairs, rather than tall stools, and the waitress managed the situation well, so that we ended up with a table and chairs. Highly recommended a classic laneway brunch experience at Brick Lane. On weekends be prepared for an average 20 minute wait to get a table, but once you鈥檙e seated and ordering, the food and coffee comes quickly.

(29 oct 23) Waited more than 30 minutes for our food, after seeing tables that arrived after us receiving their food – I asked a waitstaff to check on our order to which I was told that there was a “printer issue”. We were asked to move tables in order to accommodate for a larger group waiting outside. When we received our food, the omelette I had was very sweet and not enjoyable. I was asked whether I had finished eating my food even though I was still eating. The bill was printed and placed on the table, asking us to move along. Not only that, there was no offer to compensate for the orders that were forgotten. Overall, it wasn’t a nice experience dining here and I would not return.

( 27 Oct 23) This is a very authentic Japanese dessert cafe in a small laneway. Their sakura latte is the best in Melbourne. They also have hot matcha latte and cold matcha drink. Their cold matcha is just perfect for summer. They used ice cream as cream on top and it is very creamy. They also have matcha brownie which is very good. This cafe is extremely small. Their seatings are very limited. Not suitable for bug group. Staff are friendly when they are not busy. It located just next to Melbourne central. Public transport and parking nearby. Seatings are very narrow. Price is average to high. For better experience, visit in non busy hours and avoid weekends.
